The Farmers' Market gives you, the consumer, the opportunity to buy top quality fare directly from the producer. Producers from all over Scotland have worked hard over the last ten years to make Farmers' Markets a household name. Working closely with rural crafts and other food producers, farmers have brought fresh, local produce into city, towns and villages, offering consumers an alternative shopping experience. Farmers' Markets are now a major attraction on the High Street.
Many of the producers are delighted to have won special taste awards over the years for their delicious products. All are passionate about the quality and provenance of what they bring to the market stall, and want you the customer, to enjoy some of the very best local and regional Scottish produce. Buying local and regional produce at the market means lower food miles, and benefits the local economy in terms of employment and growth.
