| Broad Street, Stirling Old Town | |||
| At the lower end of Broad Street is the house where Mary Queen of Scots second husband, Lord Darnley, is said to have stayed while the Royal entourage resided at the castle. It was owned by Erskine of Gogar but is known as Darnley's House. An unusual architectural feature is the barrel-vaulted, ground floor, which is not connected to the upper floors. | |||
