Watergate is a Listed Building for its architectural and historical interest. We are surrounded by fields, woods and orchards. It is peaceful here, and the landscape is very beautiful.
Watergate is situated in the village of Blairlogie, an outstanding Conservation Area, near Stirling and the Wallace Monument. Blairlogie is a tiny, picturesque village at the foot of the Ochil Hills, mainly of 18th-century houses, and a wee castle. Read more about Blairlogie at www.blairlogie-scotland.org .
The cottage has all conveniences and most of them are new. There is a living room, a bedroom with twin beds (which can be rearranged as a double), a kitchen, bathroom and hallway, with a front and back door, all self-contained.
The building is octagonal in shape, with gas central heating and double-glazing. Electricity and gas is supplied free.
The kitchen has electric hob and oven, microwave/conventional oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, etc.
There is a garden, ample parking space, a great landscape and wildlife.
All linen, crockery, etc is supplied. You would need only your personal belongings.
If you decide that you want to come here, that would be fine. We're sure that you'd have an enjoyable time: we can't guarantee that the weather will be perfect, but it often is.
We normally expect a 20% deposit to confirm a booking. The balance can be paid when you are leaving.
We expect bookings to run from Saturday to Saturday. At quieter times of the year we can sometimes make other arrangements. Shorter breaks pro rata.
Blairlogie is within easy reach of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth (all about 45 minutes drive), and with good rail and motorway connections close by.
It's also very easy to get to magnificent highland scenery at the Trossachs, or to picturesque fishing villages in the East Neuk of Fife.
