Stirling is one of Scotland's oldest and most historic Cities. A former seat of government, with its royal palace and fortress providing panoramic views to the highlands and eastwards down the carse of the Forth towards Edinburgh.
Several historic battle sites are within a few miles and the National Wallace Monument and Bannockburn Visitors Centre are both on the edge of the City. Stirling with its excellent transportation links is an ideal centre to base a touring holiday of Central Scotland upon.
