The Peak. Stirling Sports Village

Stirling Sports Village at Forthside, is the biggest single development for sport and leisure in Stirling for over 30 years.

The Peak is the indoor complex at the heart of the Stirling Sports Village, which boasts third generation (3G) outdoor football, rugby and hockey pitches.


Swimming pool
The swimming pool is set out with 6 dedicated lanes for serious swimming with plenty of space around for a more relaxing dip and fun for all the family.

Swimmers have the choice of enjoying 3 separate pools from a 25m pool with 6 lanes, an 80m2 teaching pool and a 100m2 confidence water pool. The latter is specially designed for babies and toddlers with shallow water, a slide and water spouts.


Sports hall
The 9 court sports hall at the Peak has to be seen to be believed. With a sprung loaded wooden floor, portable seating and multi-sport digital scoreboard, it is a fantastic venue for indoor sport.

It can accommodate the following sports:

Ice rink

The ice pad measures 47m by 30m and houses 6 curling sheets. It can also be used for a number of other ice sports, including ice hockey, speed skating and ice dancing. Skate hire and skate sharpening facilities are available on site.

Active Stirling will be running a number of exciting initiatives in a variety of ice sports, so whether you’re an experienced ice dancer or budding ice hockey player, Ice at the Peak is the place for you.

Fitness and dance studio

You’ll be spoilt for choice with over 90 classes on offer from Active Stirling from aerobics and body pump to pilates and yoga, suitable for all ages.


Gym

Get ready for the burn with this fully air-conditioned gym and the most up to date gym equipment from Techno Gym. The gym provides a wide range of cardiovascular and resistance equipment to meet the needs of everyone, whether it's your first visit or are a regular user.


Climbing Wall

The challenging 11 metre climbing wall is the largest indoor facility in the area. A chance for all ages and abilities to reach the dizzy heights of the Peak and test their climbing skills.

Nestled against the back drop of Stirling Castle, The Wallace Monument and The Ochil Hills are Active Stirling’s state of the art synthetic pitches.

Stirling County Rugby Football Club

A leading Scottish Rugby Club with one of the most dedicated rugby coaching teams in the Scottish Rugby Union. If you want to play rugby or are a senior player looking to make a name for yourself, they would be delighted to hear from you.
The present club was formed in 1946 through the amalgamation of the Stirling High School FP club founded in the 1880's and Bridge of Allan RFC. County's membership of the Scottish Rugby Union dates from 1904.

We are a walking group especialy for families, catering for a range of ages and abilities. Led walks take place within the Forth Valley area or nearby. Forthbank stadium, home of Stirling Albion FC is located in the Springkerse area of Stirling, near the retail park.

The Supporters Trust has a web site - www.safcst.org.uk, run by an ever-growing band of dedicated and committed Stirling Albion Football club Supporters.

Standing admission is only available for certain games. Also, discounted rates available in the Family Section.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Car Parking: Large car park adjacent to the ground.
Coach Parking: Adjacent to the ground.
Railway Station: Stirling (2 miles).
Bus Station: Stirling (2 miles)- bus stance 15 (Saturday's only-see below)
Club Shop: At the home end of the ground, matchdays only.
Away Supporters: South terracing and East Stand.

Wheelchairs: 18 spaces each for home and away fans.

TRAVELLING SUPPORTERS INFORMATION.
Routes: From the South - Follow signs for Stirling from the M9/M80 Northbound. From Pirnhall Roundabout follow signs for Alloa/St Andrew to the 4th roundabout and then turn left for the stadium.

A bus service runs from Stirling Bus Station to the Park and Ride (saturdays only), Service commencing from Springkerse at 10am operating every 12 minutes via Forthbank to Stirling Bus Station (Stance 15). The last bus departs from Stirling Bus Station (Stance 15) at 6pm to return to Springkerse.

Stirling Albion LogoStirling has a lot to offer a cyclist, not only do we have some of the finest off-road routes (Dumyat, North Third, Cambusbarron) within 15 minutes cycle from the centre of town, but we also have some excellent road cycles that take in the Trossachs, the Forth and Clyde estuaries as well as all the hilly scenic landscape in between.

FITNESS CLASSES

Bums, Tums and Thighs This class is aimed at toning those particular areas of your body, as well as providing an overall cardiovascular workout.

Power PlusTone up using barbells and free weights to music.Booking for this class is essential.

ExerciseCircuit class which provides a great cardiovascularworkout. Good for all fitness levels.

50+ Aerobics These classes will help improve cardiovascular fitness, balance and flexibility. The exercises are gentle and are aimed specifically to the over 5O'S.

Tai Chi The art of health and longevity, a gentle approach to martial arts and fitness. While conventional workouts improve cardiovascular fitness, endurance and strength, Tai Chi works on the inner self improving health through proper breathing technique, ultra low impact movement, control and flexibility. People of all ages and virtually any level of fitness can safely practice Tai Chi. Tai Chi is also relaxing and good fun.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES This consists of an hour of fully supervised activities of your choice eg football, hockey, basketball, games etc followed by food in the cafe.

CAFE/BAR The cafe/bar provides a warm welcome seven days a week. Snacks, bar lunches are all served in a friendly relaxing atmosphere.
