The Latin Dance Connection
Learn to dance Salsa and/or Argentine Tango

Salsa and Tango are great fun, a fantastic way to keep fit and a wonderful way to meet people.

The classes appeal to people of all ages and backgrounds and once you know a few steps, there are many places to go to socialise and practise.

If you don’t have a partner, don’t worry. You can partner up at the class. Lots of people come on their own.

Dance Classes run on most days of the week in Stirling, Bridge of Allan and Clackmannanshire.

Conservation Volunteers in Stirling

The Conservation Volunteers in Stirling are looking for enthusiastic people to help us with our valuable and exciting conservation work across the Stirling area!

We can offer a great opportunity to gain practical conservation experience, learn about the beautiful Scottish species in our area, visit some of Scotland’s most breath taking areas as well as working alongside a fantastic group of volunteers and project officers!

We provide all travel to and from worksites, health and safety instruction and supervisions as well as all tools, no previous experience necessary.

If you think you could be interested in joining our team of volunteers or want to know more about volunteering with us then please get in touch!

We currently run our Mid-Week volunteer groups on Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Pilates Classes

Pilates is a mental and physical body-conditioning programme which uses exercises to change the way we use our bodies. It aims to change muscle recruitment patterns and to correct common muscle imbalances, restoring good postural alignment and natural normal movement.

Group classes are one hour in duration and for mixed ability. They are kept small in numbers to allow for individual attention when required. All classes require pre-booking. Classes can be attended once or twice a week. This allows for progression and development.

All classes are held at 7a Coneyhill Road, Bridge of Allan.

Improve your Posture, Strength, Flexibility and Endurance with Stott Pilates Enhanced Mat Classes (limited class sizes to allow for individual attention)

All small equipment such as circles, balls and foam rollers are provided to help improve your technique and to adjust for postural differences. All you need is a Mat and the motivation!

Babies learn more in the first year of life than at any other time. Never again will there be such an extraordinary pace of development. They are totally attentive and absolutely fascinated by everything that they can see, hear, touch, taste and smell. Baby Sensory doesn’t waste a moment of this valuable time!

Our Baby Sensory programme has been designed specifically for babies from birth. The Baby Development activities stimulate the senses and help babies develop. We are confident that these baby activities will delight and surprise both parents and baby.

We use a combination of original and traditional songs and rhymes to develop early communication skills, it’s amazing when we see the babies first uses the signs of our Say Hello song which is played at the beginning of each Baby Sensory class!

We use a wide range of sensory delights to stimulate the babies, everything from bubbles, bells, balloons, light shows, balls, textures, activity songs, dancing and much more – something different each week!

Classes run all across the country and also in several other countries around the world, and now they’re coming to Stirling.

I’m offering free taster sessions on Tuesday 23rd Feb at Cambusbarron Community Centre and Mayfield Centre, St Ninians on Friday 26th Feb and my classes will then run each Tuesday and Friday at the respective venues.

The Paint Pot Stop

The Paint Pot Stop is a childrens art and craft program that offers a series of structured sessions devoted to the physical,emotional and social development of the child, with the parent/carer being a central part of the session activities.

When parents/carers enter the childs world of play and imagination, the child blossoms with more confidence to explore and learn.

2.00pm - 2.45pm age 18months to 3years

During School Holidays older children can be accomodated on single sessions - subject to availability and pre booking.

The Paint Pot Stop offers three levels of art and craft sessions. Children get to explore and experiment with different art materials and techniques. The children will be using different materials each week, such as paint,dough,glue and fabrics. Activities such as finger/foot painting,cutting and glueing are designed to provide a positive art experience for parents and young children.

18mths-3yrs will use equipment and activities to learn cause and effect,coordination and fine motor skills. Use of simple stories and rhyms will link art to everyday life, enriching and developing language skills.

3yrs-5yrs use their creative skills to build stories using art. Explore different themes using song,movement and story telling. Further developing motor skill,hand eye coordination, limited only by their imagination.

5yrs-10yrs will be encouraged to challenge their new and emerging skills. Children will discover their individual abilities, boosting self esteem and social skills. Working in groups to create and design.

Blue's Tap - Adult Tap dance classes

Blue's Tap is Adult tap dancing classes run by Susie Forsyth. Tap Dancing is a great way to have fun and keep fit at the same time. I have been running Adult Tap classes for 6 years now and i feel its a great way to end a hard day at work

Bellydance Classes

Bellydance is a gentle form of exercise for women of all ages, shapes and sizes; it improves flexibility and helps develop good posture and co-ordination. Warda is a trained and accredited teacher with the Josephine Wise Academy of Arabic Dance.

Musical Steps classes

My name is Dawn Ford and I hold Musical Steps classes in Bridge of Allan and Denny. The children and I always have great fun so please give me a call or email if you'd like to join us for a free taster class. Musical Steps has developed a fun-packed, high-quality educational experience that babies, children and parents love. Music has been shown to have a huge impact on children's development and it's important to start as early as possible. Listening to music is good, but participating in music-making is even better.

We offer a quality educational experience that is so much more than a simple sing-song. We use our voices, our musical expertise and specially written songs and activities to teach important concepts and skills whilst still providing a fun-filled, magical time.

Have fun with us at Musical Steps and help develop your child’s Creativity, Co-operation, Listening, Language and Communication.

Young People

Explore painting, printing and drawing - learn about colour, design and composition and have fun creating your very own works of art.

Explore the fabulous world of clay and learn different techniques to make wonderful original objects.

Come and learn how to play. If you already play a bit, have fun learning new tunes and playing in a group with others.

stagecraft, voice, improvisation and developing a character, with the older class contributing to a script. There will also be an opportunity to perform in the Tolbooth auditorium.

Join our regular harmonica group to play tunes and learn about this great wee instrument. A fun class open to all ages – families welcome. Includes broader musical development.

It’s back! Led by Scotland’s top professional musicians this is the place to develop your songwriting or performance skills.

Group tuition – fiddle, guitar, whistle, flute and recorder (min 6 months experience of instrument)
Intermediate: (min 2-3 yrs exp of instrument)
Advanced: (by audition)


For fiddlers keen to play together in a relaxed atmosphere, learning new tunes as well as developing technique. Not for complete beginners.

Intermediate (not for beginners) Demonstration and tuition in a wide range of hand-built ceramic techniques including use of glazes but not potters’ wheel.

Friendly, informal group singing. Learn a varied repertoire including traditional songs, chants, spirituals, contemporary material and harmonies. You don’t need to have sung before – everyone welcome.

Beginners will take you through the chord structures and basic techniques. Intermediate will explore different styles including contemporary. Bring your own guitar.

Join our regular harmonica group to play tunes and learn about this great wee instrument.

An exciting drama group for children aged 3-5 years, which encourages children to explore their creative side through drama and play. Led by Frozen Charlotte Theatre Company

Come and join us and get the chance to learn some new funky moves, be creative and make new dance pieces. These classes introduce a number of dance styles including street dance, hip hop and contemporary. Led by macrobert’s Dance Artist Laura Smith and visiting hip hop and street dance artists.

For those who have perfected the basics and are looking to add a little more spice to their films, this class will looks closer at film making and effects editing, creating videos and animations and introducing effects programs such as Adobe After Effects. Performance Writing
Are you interested in writing for the stage? If so, we are looking to set up a new young writers group that will look at creating new scripts for performance. The group would be led by experienced professionals who would guide and mentor you as you develop your writing practice.

Boys Do Dance
Some of the most ground breaking dancers of this generation have been male. We are looking to set up an all new dance group for boys age 12+. The group will be lead by an experienced Dance Artist, teaching dance techniques and approaches that will build skill and confidence.

macRobert Classes for Adults

Dance for 60+
Our older dance class is a class for anyone age 60+. No experience necessary! The emphasis is on fun while learning new routines. Led by macrobert’s Dance Artist Laura Smith.

Book group
Meeting monthly, macrobert’s new book is run in partnership with the University of Stirling Department of English Studies. Each month the group will explore, discuss and engage with a chosen book they have read that month. The group will also benefit from a new programme of author events planned throughout the year.
The group will meet on Monday evenings.
